BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT

Steve Page is an accomplished leader with commitment, dedication and proven skills in managing a wide range of
challenging projects. A talented communicator, with excellent people handling and management skills, he is skilled in successfully implementing Business Improvement and ‘Lean Thinking’ concepts in both office-based and manufacturing environments.

In 2003, Steve set up PAGE Consulting Ltd, offering a wide range of business improvement services to businesses in the Yorkshire and Humber region. The company has forged strong links with local colleges on both the north and south banks and the University of Hull, a network of specialist local consultants and a range of successful improvement programmes with both large and small companies in the region.

In this time, Steve has established a group of small companies, which have been growing steadily, and he is now the Managing Director of two management consultancies and a construction company, responsible for the day to day management and strategic direction of the group. He is actively involved in business improvement consultations, supporting a wide range of regional organisations as well as being at the leading edge of the development and implementation of ‘Trading Nursery’ programmes for high growth businesses.

Steve’s main focus is in offering regional organisations strategic development and sustainable business performance improvement to provide them with a competitive advantage that enhances their prosperity and safeguards the jobs of employees and directors alike. A general interest in the prospects of the Yorkshire and Humber region means Steve keeps himself actively involved in regional regeneration programmes.

Experience and Qualifications

Steve gained much of his experience from his time working in the aerospace industry, serving an engineering apprenticeship at Brough, before graduating with an engineering honours degree in 1983. He worked his way up through the ranks of British Aerospace to become Chief Engineer – Training Systems and Simulators in 1992, progressing to Project Manager – Future Projects from 1993 to 1996 and then accepting international responsibilities as Business Manager Anglo-Swedish Development Programmes in the joint venture with Saab Aerospace.

Steve then joined the Swift Group at Cottingham as Business Improvement Manager, remaining with the company from 2000-2003, a period of significant organisational change and successful company growth.
