John Quest founded the Quest Consultancy in 1992 after thirty years
within the woodworking, shopfitting, and construction industries, the
latter sixteen of which were spent in managerial roles within the areas
of purchasing, contracts management and manufacturing.
During his management career, John helped to fulfil many major contracts
with household names and blue chip companies, such as the Disney Corporation,
Hilton International and International Hotels, Eurodisney, Habitat,
House of Fraser, Harrods, McDonalds, Sun Alliance and Dunn and Bradstreet.
For the last four years he has asssisted many organisations in their
quality assurance aims. His current client base includes companies within
the areas of:

Qualifications and Experience
John's background is one of having completed a recognised apprenticeship
within the Shopfitting Industry and his career has developed from that
to Craftsman, Supervisor, Manager and then eventually to holding a Directorship
in this industry. He is an Associate of the British Institute of Certified
Carpenters and is studying for a Level 5 NVQ in Management.
John can assist with the design, implementation and associated training
in Quality Assurance Systems such as BS EN ISO 9000 and Total Quality
Management (TQM). He holds a firm belief that such systems should be
as simple to operate as possible and that they must also be easy for
all employees to comprehend. Having been previously employed within
senior management roles for three companies requiring the quality asssurance
standard ISO 9000 ( formally BS5750 ), John has been on the receiving
end of quality assurance consultancy projects himself and is aware of
the time commitment that is needed for their documentation. Because
of this very fact , John takes direct responsibility for the production
of his client's Quality and Operating Procedure Manuals in order to
allow them the opportunity to continue to do what they do best, ...make
a profit.
Since being trained in the requirements of the "people" standard
of Investors in People, John has assisted many companies with the utilisation
of their natural resource ( people ) to the mutual benefits of the business
( increased profits ) and those of it's employees ( motivation, training
and teamwork ).
